Welcome to the Equal Agender
Website
"Women do some jobs, men do others."
The
Agender Partnership set out to promote positive images of people in
non-gender-stereotyped jobs and remove this common misunderstanding. By
removing this pre-conceived idea, it was hoped that women and men will
become more likely to consider non-traditional roles in their hunt for
employment. The outcomes of the pilot exercises
co-ordinated by Agender will show how pathways into non-gender traditional
roles can become easily accessible to women and men.
The
Agender project successfully achieved its final phase of delivery,
with all Action 2 activity projects completed in September 2007. Action 3 which
was the final
stage of the project focussed on dissemination and mainstreaming of good practice
and ended in December 2007.
New
projects, mainstreaming events and materials include the “Lisbon
Connecting Policy with Practice” event which took place in Brussels, The Equal
“Cross Networking” event in November 2007 and “Agender DVD” which told the story of the Agender programme,
including a variety of products and
reports to draw out some of the key learning points and findings.
This site
