Agender Contract Manager

Leon Edman

Leon Edman is the Agender Contracts Manager, responsible for writing and issuing contracts and monitoring activity and outcomes. He also undertakes project visits, ensuring partners’ understanding of their role and resolving any legal or other issues involving the contracting and claims process.

 

Graham Whitehouse:  Graham Whitehouse is the Agender Contracts Advisor. Graham’s role is key to the project, ensuring partners’ understanding of their role and resolving any legal or other issues involving the contracting and claims process.

Children's Centre Sub-Group.

Aggie Kent        and           Ray Goodwin,

The Children’s Centre Sub-group is chaired by Aggie Kent and Ray Goodwin. Aggie is Community Involvement Development Co-ordinator at Surestart Saltley and Ward End Children’s Centre and provides valuable input as a representative of Children’s Centres. Ray is Funding and Development Manager of Birmingham Settlement and has extensive experience of working with voluntary and employment organisations.

Claire Hardwick

Claire Hardwick, Pertemps, Chair.  The Employers Sub-Group is chaired by Claire Hardwick, who is an Area Operations Director at Pertemps People Development Group (PPDG). Claire has been involved in the Core and Sub-Group level of the Agender project, as well as being the lead contact on several Agender linked projects and has considerable experience in managing and developing multi agency, multi sector partnerships.

Margaret Dilloway

Margaret Dilloway, Bournville College, Chair.  Maggie’s degree and research career have focused upon gender and equality issues within society and the family. She has undertaken a variety of research projects relating to women, ethnic minority participation, and gender and work issues, some of these as part of the Agender project.

Birmingham Settlement is one of Birmingham’s oldest voluntary sector organisations.

Founded in 1899 it is part of the national and international Settlement movement and is the largest Settlement in the United Kingdom. The Settlement is a multi functional organisation which aims to overcome social disadvantage.

Birmingham Settlement has worked with women with multiple barriers for over 100 years, which makes them an ideal lead partner for the Agender project.

The Settlement is based in Newtown, Birmingham. The work of the Settlement has a focus on the north of the City especially Kingstanding and Aston, and is the location of the Agender project which is housed at the Centre for the Aston Family.
